RCMP on Scion Radio

I had the pleasure of doing an interview with Cosmo and Ayres from The Rub. We chopped it up about RCMP, Philadelphyinz, Pittsburghese, our Young Robots label project, the old Paradise at Key West and the brief but spectacular Philly career of DBJ's own Mike Tee.

Relative Q and I also did a guest mix with lots of disco, new and old. Ayres and Cosmo also mix it up on some old school rap shit.

The show is available only as a live stream right now. You can listen to it at Scion Radio's site OR you can listen with the convenient new player at the top of the sidebar right here on The Doller Ban Jams Internet Website!

Put it on while you're getting your hair braided or having a cocaine-induced midnight house cleaning session.

Tracklist is posted in the comments section.

Alex Koplin (Moodgadget) on Nighttime World radio tonight

Don't miss tonight's episode of Nighttime World, featuring Alex Koplin from the Moodgadget label!

Moodgadget was founded in 2004 by Jakub Marek Alexander and Adam E. Hunt with the goal of exposing the diversity in electronically made music. Alexander and Hunt (who currently reside in Brooklyn and Los Angeles, respectively) became heavily involved in the electronic music scene through their work with the acclaimed Ghostly International label, and were frustrated by the public's misconception that all electronic music was "club" music. They wanted to draw attention to the fact that electronic music is a process, not a genre; within its broad walls lives a plethora of sounds – everything from catchy folk to melodic techno.

Alex will be showcasing the music of Moodgadget (and some of his other favorites) tonight on Nighttime World, beginning at 10 p.m. EST on Party 934!

My House, Your House

Before you head out tonight, tune into Bryon Stout's internet radio show "Righteous Jams" on MyHouse-YourHouse. I'll be doing a live guest mix from about 7 to 8 p.m. EST, and then Bryon will play for another couple hours while we slosh around with margaritas. It'll be dope. Oh, and this will all be documented by a live webcam broadcasting on the site. The perfect soundtrack for your pregame!

Nighttime World

Tonight at 10 p.m. EST (3 a.m. Tuesday in GMT) is the launch of my new weekly internet radio show on Party 934. I'm going to be mixing the show live, and I'm really excited to have this as an outlet to play some weirder/less dancey stuff that might be difficult to pull off in a club or bar. Check it out if you get a chance, or at least just allow the web stream to run while you go about your business, in order to artificially inflate my number of listeners.
