Hot Stuff

Another gem from from Tequila Sunrise's 50 cent sale. Time for a confession: I hate string sections in disco music. Most string-laden disco music is garbage to me, but this track is a rare exception. I am happy to share Novella Edmonds' "Hot Stuff" with you in all of it's stringy glory. Enjoy this fine disco instrumental (sorry Novella!):

You're not welcome in my house!

If you ever come over to my place, I'll tie you up and force you to listen to Cher's Take Me Home 99 times!

Interesting, I noticed the 'John Benitez' on the label. If I were a betting man, I'd wager $100 that's Jellybean Benitez.

Discogs claims that it is.

Perhaps instead of forcing me to listen to Cher, you can point me in the direction of a good disco mix loaded with strings.

Yup. 1979.

Mixed by Jonathan Fearing & (a 22 year old pre-Jellybean) John Benitez.
