Endless Race

Tangerine Dream's Peter Baumann on production duties, which explains the deep space synths. Originally released in 1978.

Crash Boom / Dream Dance

Universal Cave returns with a second helping of dancefloor delight, uniting Charleston's finest disco duo back to back on wax. Coming from two regulars behind the decks, prolific crate diggers, collectors and editors, you'd expect good things, and you'd be right! Side A offers a hard-hitting vocoder disco bomb from the ever forward, deep and free disco minister JAZ. I haven't got the foggiest what the original is I'm afraid, although the slavic vibe of the vocals suggests it has eastern European roots. Party Dad cools things down to pool party perfection with his "Dream Dance" edit on the flip. Pastoral, proggy and horizontal, this is one far out dude. It's all chiller, no filler on this soothing 7", packing plenty of autumnal balearic vibes.

Limited 7" available now from Juno and a bunch of other sellers. See the full list on Soundcloud. Vinyl only - no digital.

October Cave Jams

People all over the world are making great original music & remixes, and pressing it up on vinyl. There are also some with a knack for unearthing raer & unknown recordings, who then make them available for vinyl lovers everywhere. Props to all of these producers, labels & archivists! Here's a chart with some of my recent favorites!

Featuring music from lovebirds on Razor-N-Tape, DJ Apt One on Soul Clap, H-Track, Moton Records Inc, 124 Recordings, Marvin & Guy, Soft Rocks, Mukatsuku Records & my very own Universal Cave 7"!

High Steppin

Another very strong edit from the Pied Piper.  This is one of my favorite hard hitting productions from Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra.  Same nasty groove that made LUO a favorite for early 90's rap producers like the Beatminerz and Pharoahe Monch.  PP is one of the more prolific editors out there, so get familiar.

Dancing In The Moonlight

Sharegroove just touched up B.B. Seaton's Dancing In The Moonlight with love. Disco reggae at it's finest! I'm surprised this one flew so low under the radar. Kudos to Sharegroove for unearthing it! Does anyone recognize the melody on this?
