Tudo Bem / Luanda

Sao Paulo’s SELVAGEM drop a masterful double sider for Universal Cave 004. “Tudo Bem” is sunny, soulful AOR bliss. A tribute to a favorite Brazilian musician and an update for contemporary rotation. “Luanda” is hypnotic, psychedelic tropicalia. Truly digging deep, SELVAGEM give Universal Cave a taste of the Forward Deep & Free sounds of Balnearico from Brazil. Balnearico is the fusion of balearic and "balneário," the Portuguese word that is synonymous with beach.

Philadelphia Gone Selvagem

Since I heard Selvagem's Beats In Space mix last April, I knew they had to bring their mind blowing mix of Brazilian grooves to Philly! And now it's all coming together this Saturday at Medusa Lounge!

SELVAGEM

(Millos Kaiser & Trepanado • B.I.S. Records • São Paulo, Brazil)

Selvagem is Portuguese for "Wild." Selvagem is also both the name of the DJ duo as well as the name of their monthly party in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It’s a monthly sunset party which has hosted DJs such as Optimo's Twitch, Eric Duncan, Justin Strauss, Horse Meat Disco's Severino. Their recent Beats In Space mix is all crazy Brazilian records, ranging from disco to funk, psychedelic, post-punk, electro and beyond, including many of their own edits. Tim Sweeney recently released 3 of their edits on his vinyl only B.I.S. imprint.
