Searching To Find The One

Here's a very slight edit of Unlimited Touch off of the classic bootleg imprint Ballroom Records. Ballroom was responsible for both reissuing tracks & pressing up some useful edits. If any Jammers have further information on the label, please leave a comment.

UPDATE:

We struck gold in the comment section, thanks to Em-Uno. Here's what he had to say:

Hey folks-
Ballroom was run by a French fellow of Italian background. I don't want to say his name since he was pretty secretive about doing this for obvisou reasons, but if you were on the record scene in NYC in the '90s/early 2000s you know who I'm talking about. He doesn't live in NYC anymore and isn't involved with pressing records now, to my knowledge. I helped him and his partner with press releases/onesheets and such, later did some re-edit work. Ballroom are almost all straight represses of medium-rare dance classics (this is the promo-only Francois K mix of "Searching"). We also did the Jazz-Funk label, Disco Strut, Disc-O-Lypso and a bunch of one-off reproductions. Some of these repros were so good that they have gotten into discogs and popsike as 'rare originals' or such. I get a kick out of that... Ballroom ended when the guy in charge left NYC, in 2002 I think.

I Hear Music In The Streets Again

I promised i would post the hip-hop track that sampled "I Hear Music In The Street" by Unlimited Touch the other day so hear it is. Rampage The Last Boy Scout's "Take It To The Streets". They slowed down the original and looped it then stole the chorus. I remember hearing this on mad mix tapes when it dropped everyone was cutting up the part where Rampage says "Upside down I'm a turn it out" on some back to back ish lol. Hope you Enjoy!

I Hear Music In the Street

Ahhh yes Unlimited Touch, they always kill it! What a baseline on this track it's total murder. I Like playing "I Hear Music In The Streets" in my sets from time to time it kind of lights up the room in a funky way. Ya dig? In a day or so I will post the Hip-Hop Joint that sampled this tune. In the mean time hope you enjoy!
