The long-awaited remix companion to 2011's "RCMP II" is finally out.

RCMP - "RCMP II: The Remixes" presents seven reinterpretations of "RCMP II." Remixers include Pink Skull (RVNG INT'L), Laberge (Solid Bump), Elvis Suarez (Strictly Rhythm), DJ Ayres (Young Robots / T&A), Fifteenth (Fools Gold / Scion AV), Burnso (Young Robots) and Pumpkin Patch (Young Robots).

Pretty huge. I'm very proud of the work all these guys did reinterpreting our record. We asked them all to remix it because we love listening to their work! DJs, you need these. Please support Young Robots (and independent music in general) and buy some tunes.

San Francisco This Weekend!

I just watered the plants & got a ride to the airport with Apt One (Every man has a price & his is an order of tacos al pastor). Now I'm off to San Francisco, home of proper sourdough & the birthplace of HI-NRG! I'm looking forward to a busy weekend of DJing, digging with old friends and drinking with even older ones. 

The main event is a Go Bang! at Deco Lounge on Saturday night! All disco classics all night! Plus on Friday I'm playing at White Label at Showdown, then a whacked out opening set at BODY//CURRENT AFTER\\HOURS. Bay Area Jammers, get off the internet and come out! The Ball

DJ Bruce and I have a monthly disco jam in Philly called the Ball. Over the past year, it has played host to some amazing and diverse guests - live acts like Big Freedia, Gang, Telephoned, Sgt Sass, Sweatheart and Instamatic as well as DJs Cosmo Baker, Billy W, Vjuan Allure, Pauly Paul, Sparber, Lee Jones, Elvis Suarez and Walt Luke.

We're getting into a hectic spring for the Ball - with Nicos Gun, Prowler, Dragon King, Tunde Olaniran, Miz Korona and Peter Dragontail. Tons of live dance music and carefully selected jams from your resident DJs.

We're kicking off our spring with a residents' night this Friday, and if you're in hollering distance, holler!!!

Mysteries Of The Mind

Between Future Times' astral textures and U Street Music Hall's subs, Washington DC's been making lots of waves in electronic music lately. And the capitol's momentum is still building! Now two of it's most eclectic DJs, Chris Burns & Gavin Holland, have launched their own imprint, Mysteries Of The Mind. Dedicated to releasing quality electronic music on vinyl, MOTM is off to a strong start with a 4 track 12" from Chris & Gavin's Party Bros. project. The A-side is a quirky hommage to DC's Malcolm X Park, but the real gems are the Balearic as fuck b-sides. "Heartstones" transports me to a washed out VHS beach universe where I can feel my white pants bunching up as I gawk at babes in neon bathing suites & "Arboretum" is all I can hear in my opium nod free love dreams on the beach. So yeah, grab a copy of the new 12" directly from the Bros here.
