Just Dub It
Easily the biggest return on investment from my Tequila Sunrise fifty cent spree, here's a track from the Face It 12" by Master C & J. This minimal groove was the first release on the short-lived Chicago house label State Street Records. Also, my first vinyl rip done on my own equipment, so please comment if you notice any glaring quality issues.

I love love love old warm percussion-laden house dubs!!!
Softly jackin'--thanks for this, I'd only ever heard "Face It" itself before...
An absolute Chicago classic. Master C & J released a lot of heat back in the day. Their grooves were always dark and minimal. Liz Torres' haunting vocals always added to the vibe. Thanks for this!
Wow, only 50 cents!
I think I paid $3.99 for this when it originally came out!
But I'm freaking OLD!
Check out Master C&J's "In The City", that's another good one by them!
I loved "Face It" back in the day.
We used to called it 'Deep House'.
Another Deep House gem to check for is Marshall Jefferson presents Truth "Open Our Eyes"
good record. the dub was like 10x better than the actual record. this reminds me of the days when we used to buy everything! record wasnt hot? oh well, flip it over & play the dub!!!!
