OK, so I dropped this at 2099 the other night, and we couldn't get the timeline straight as to the re-use of the Assault on Precinct 13 Theme - did this Afrika Bambaataa track come before or after the Splash Band? Did the Splash Band play the main theme? Did this sample that or the original soundtrack or was it replayed?
DBJ-ers, help a brother out.

This tune definitely didn't sample the OST, and although it has a similar sound to the Splash Band's version, I think that Bambaataa replayed it for his theme. There's a few extra notes here & there which don't appear in the Splash Band's cover.
i would say he recreated the theme with his synthesizers and possibly arthur bakers help
